I'm using Func_Godot to generate levels from Trenchbroom. I bet I can use your approach to automatically bake my lightmaps on level build instead of needing to remember to do it every time. Thanks for sharing your approach!

Is this literally just baking by using script to press the bake button on selected lightmaps? If so that's both brilliant and sad.
Hopefully we get this in 4.5
