It looks coarse enough that it should hold pretty well. Are you prepared for it to stick straight up for a bit? That's what mine did when it was short like that. I recommend beanies for a couple months! Lol

I mean, it's just a personal preference. I find the wax too sticky. However, I use a powder wax in my hair now for styling and it might actually be perfect for what you're trying to do ....hang on.

Back combing. That being said, if you don't have a lot of hair to begin with this may not be the best method for any thin spots. But, to me it definitely holds best. I have used some of the loc products, such as the sprays, and tbh I find them to be a waste of $. Dunno if that's very helpful.

1) I absolutely HATE beeswax. I use regular gel for the hubby, but his is coarse and is pretty cooperative. 2) I have super thick but stick straight white people hair that doesn't even hold a curl. I've actually dreaded mine up a couple times and I just use the rip and pull method along with some
