5:35am Rain ahead of a cold front is now crossing over the metro and will drop to our south by ~9am. Scattered showers will be possible the rest of the morning. This afternoon will be mainly dry, but with temps falling through the 40s on brisk wind from the north.

Rain and cooler conditions are on the way. Temps will drop to the mid 40s tonight accompanied by showers that are most likely from 4am-10am. We only reach near 50° tomorrow afternoon, as temps fall on gusty north wind, reaching the 30s by sunset. (HRRR forecast 3am-12pm shown). /ER

It was a stunning day in the metro with sunny and breezy conditions. Temps started cold this morning in the mid 30s, but rose to a more comfortable value in the 60s. This was the last day of 60° temps for a while. /ER

It is a beautiful afternoon with temps in the low 60s and lots of sunshine. It is breezy out there with some 20-25 mph wind gusts. Temps will cool to the lower 50s by dinner time with breezy winds and clear skies persiting. Enjoy one last day of sunshine and warmth!☀️/RB

Monday, 8:00pm -- Will it ❄️ this weekend??

While we are fairly confident it will be cold enough, what we aren't quite as confident about is if there will be any precip this far south, as the main area of moisture slides by to our north.

After starting below freezing this morning, temperatures eventually rose into the low to mid 50s throughout the area today, accompanied by sunny skies and a few gusts of wind. Expect another chilly night tonight, but temperatures are expected to stay above freezing. /MM

It is a beautiful afternoon here in the Mid South with lots of sunshine. Temps are near 50 currently with steady wind from the south. Temps will remain near the 50 degree mark this afternoon before falling to the lower 40s by dinner time with clear skies sticking around.☀️/RB

A new week starts off cold with most suburbs in the mid 20s at the bus stop, while the urban jungle is closer to 30°. Fortunately sunshine and light south wind will warm temps to near average levels this afternoon. Make it a great Monday!

The temperature roller coaster is back this week as we climb towards 60° by Tuesday, only to see a significant cold front drop Arctic air into the eastern U.S. by mid-week, carrying into next weekend. Rainfall chances are slim, limited mainly to Wednesday morning.

Today was a beautiful, sunny day across the metro, though it remained chilly. Highs topped out in the mid 40s, making it the coldest afternoon since December 30th. A northerly breeze was also noticeable today. A slight warm up is expected to start the workweek. /AO

We're starting to see more social media hype of potential DEEP SNOW in the south. Some sites exist just to get shares & revenue. Some (like ours) have been a trusted source for years. Reality: here's the chance of 1" of snow through Jan 18 from the trusted European ensemble suite. Beware the share!

Happy Sunday! Grab that heavy coat as you head out today as temps are much cooler than they've been in a while, despite sunshine. A north wind of 10-15 mph will hold high temps down in the mid 40s today. Prepare for a hard freeze tonight.

Temps will drop to around freezing tonight, with clear skies and a light westerly wind. Tomorrow's highs will peak in the mid 40s, with sunny skies and a northwesterly wind that may make it feel a couple of degrees cooler than it actually is. Cooler temperatures are back! /MM

Rain lingered in the metro until early this morning, but the rest of the day was dry. Cloud coverage and temperatures both dropped throughout the day, and our high was recorded before sunrise. Expect sunny skies and cool temperatures in place for the next couple of days! /MM

Our stretch of unusual warmth has ended behind a cold front. Rain is mostly gone except a few sprinkles and clouds will clear late this afternoon. Temps will be steady today in the mid 50s on breezy NW wind. Even chiller starting tomorrow, but mainly dry for a week!

8pm- Steady rain is advancing into the metro from the SW. This rain will last overnight into the early AM hours. Ponding on roadways is possible. Tomorrow will clear up as the day progresses, with highs holding steady in the mid 50s. Wind gusts up to 25 mph are also possible./AO

Today was very mild and cloudy across the metro. Highs were in the upper 60s early this morning before falling into the low to mid 60s this afternoon. Bartlett also set a record high of 69° today. While it did stay dry through most of the day, that will change into tonight. /AO
