Just off screen there are a lot of old guys hanging out in lawn chairs with their car show buddies. Got to see this little sub culture first hand when they shot a show near our house in Memphis a few years ago.

My book club started with this one in the fall and it led to some great conversation. Drop of Corruption gives more depth into the goings on in the empire.

I do not like turkey on our holiday table but assumed that would have fallen under our ongoing war on Christmas.

Loved this book. Read it a few years ago and still think about it regularly.

His “Up Jumps the Devil” is well worth your time, if you haven’t already read it.
