I just got off the phone with the hubby of a Bangor, Maine blanket maker that I can pick this up for the #memorialblanket National Day of Action on the 22nd. Join us at the Maine Mall from 11 to 7. Learn about homelessness. Let your neighbors know they matter.

Okay Maine peeps. We've been asked by the National Coalition for the Homeless to participate in the National Day of Action on the anniversary of the SCOTUS hearing Johnson v Grants Pass (and subsequently ruling that falling a sleep in public is a crime). #memorialblanket

Here's Alyssa! She was delivering her blanket last year....
#memorialblanket 2025 is exactly 9 months from today.
What are you working on? Can you help us get the word out to blanket makers everywhere?
I'll post a picture of the one I'm working on later today.

Here at #memorialblanket we are an entirely volunteer effort. When you see our displays, you know that's thousands of volunteers.

Donations (we're the Charles Bruce Foundation) to cover the expenses each year. We're part of Match Madness, a non-profit matches the $ we raise. Link in comments. Thnks

School children making blankets for kids experiencing homelessness. The memorialblanket.org website has lesson plans on it, if your school, church or scout troop wants to get involved.

Hi! We're the homeless remembrance blanket project. Every Homeless Remembrance Night, we place handmade blankets on display to remind the world about the people who not only live on the street but die there too.

After, we distribute the blankets to those in need. More info - memorialblanket.org
