From what I read, the president can sign an executive order to give ByteDance a 90-day extension to sell. If there is no sale, after the 90 days, the ban will go into effect, and the only thing the president can do is ask Congress to pass another law to lift the ban.

No surprise there. Trump and the Republicans in Congress are POS. All those who voted for swallowed his lies and misinformation.
