Sometimes in America (assuming you're not American based on your post) when we say vet we do mean veterinarian--you kind of have to go off of context & modifiers. When we say, "homeless vet," it's generally assumed everyone knows what's meant because it's a very specific image we all know here.

And mind you, I'm saying this as someone who would love to be a parent someday, with the caveat that that "someday" take place in a world that's orders of magnitude less shitty than it is right now, and I've considered adoption as a viable option to avoid inflicting this hellhole on someone new.

I don't get how people can think that way. The entire purpose of building a better world is so that there's something for future generations to inherit after we're gone instead of "nothing" or "post-apocalyptic hellscape." Hating people for having kids seems kind of counter to the whole point.

As an American, I agree. I may not like it because I happen to live here, but the honest truth is that collectively we as a country have been long overdue for a lesson in humility for a very long time now.

I'm with you. Hate being around people generally speaking, but planning to attend every protest I can find that's not on a workday until/unless there's a general strike, in which case it'll be protesting full-time. Going to my local Hand Off one on 4/5. Looking forward to it.
