We lost everything in a house fire 27 January 2010, the day after our 30th wedding anniversary. I got out in nothing but a pair of boxers, tank top, and house shoes. I still start looking for things I had before 2010 before it hits me it’s all gone.

I spend so much time in waiting rooms I made a voluminous knee-length coat with a hood out of a lightweight blanket. Wrap myself up, cover my head — I nap anywhere I have to wait more than 15 minutes.
