I said something similar over on the book of faces and had a guy lecture me that we need to do this. Part of his argument invoked Japanese Internment Camps and how we “can’t really know they were a wrong thing.”

Making public education as hindered as possible has always been a play by the Right (as I know you well know). Who needs to shut down the Department of Ed when you can just fire enough people to disrupt the day to day? Then you can point and say “see, it’s ineffective!”. As we know well in Missouri.
