I like books and cats and music and creative arts and games and nature and learning stuff
she/her
Her airplane ears (because I just told her no, absolutely do not jump up here), the spiderweb in her whiskers, the foot perched on a tumbled spring, the sad look of a cat that just wants to help with upholstery. I can’t get over how cute and bad she is in this photo.

Today I went to Cat Video Fest at Amherst Cinema by myself (I would’ve asked you but it sold out before I could) but not alone because it was full full of all ages and a lot of them had cat ears on and we just watched cats for 70 minutes and smiled and laughed and hey it was ok for a while in there.

Due to Reasons I have three book clubs within a week’s span and I’m halfway through the last book of the three and glad it’s Compelling.

My mouth is so clever at finding watermelon seeds while I let my throat drink the liquid fruit and it makes me feel like an animal that knows how to be an animal a little bit. An animal that likes watermelons.

I’m rarely as careful as the am in the moment I get on the pike in Westfield to head home

The vertigo of a car next to me unexpectedly moving backwards when I’ve just finished moving forward is like .. it happened 10 hours ago and I still feel half sick thinking of it. Ugh.

On Saturday I went to two birthday celebrations and for the first one Neal made a vegetarian hot dog jello mold food and it was an abomination and the second one folks were encouraged to dress as their favorite thing that lives in the ground and I liked being in a group of everyone having antennae.

Once upon a time I was in China and often when I was on a bus trip there was this techno music video and my Chinese was bad and it was the Past so I couldn’t know what it was so I went in a music store and sang it and they got the CD for me but I don’t know where it is and also who was that person.

When I was a teenager, I had a mauve phone and I didn’t like it so I painted the whole thing with white out which both gave me headaches and also sometimes stuck to my face and anyway don’t cover things with whiteout. I just remembered that today, apropos of using some whiteout in a normal way.

Last minute decision to attend a flywheel show at Holyoke Media last night was super rewarded. Excellent music by Adam Reid + the In-betweens, Twin Foxes, Freezing Cold, and Outro. I’m bad at talking about music but see any of these folks if ya can

What used to be 90’S NAILS in the mall and is now TODAY’S NAILS has just the S NAILS lights burnt out, presumably because they are from the 90s and idk there’s some point I’m half making here, maybe. Vague on Bluesky is my current method I guess.

I dreamed a dream in Spanish last night. I don’t speak Spanish any better in my dreams than in real life, so it’s half anxiety dream and half me waking up quite pleased with myself.

I like texting the PVTA. Sometimes I want to tell it my problems but I’m limiting myself to just texting routes and learning where the buses are on them because I’m respecting the PVTA’s boundaries.

Catholic school kindergarten graduation is a weird scene. More singing than I would’ve guessed but maybe I could be a better guesser if I tried.

Today I went to a yoga class at a cat cafe and it was everything I hoped and nothing I was super worried about, now I’m going to go plant some sunflowers, hey, it’s June. Hello, hi.

I didn’t remember to take any photos but reporting in: the loop hike at bear hole rd in west springfield is a nice 1 hour walk, gravel or trails, shaded, and mostly flat with one big uphill that was just on the edge of pleasant endurance. Lovely morning walk.

Reread Ancillary Justice for a book club. I liked it the first time, I really liked it this second round. Some quotes in replies below.

Flywheel show at Holyoke Media tonight was a great time. Finally saw Perennial, they sounded excellent with big good energy. Same for Miracle Blood, Videodome, and Velveteen. Felt awake and moved and alive and also I love my earplugs.

I just discovered that @thestorygraph.com has 3 reading challenges other than the “read x number of books” one and I’m a ruin. I’m in 5 book clubs and doing the MassBook monthly reading challenge. Can I shove in 3 more reading challenges this year? If this is my downfall I’ll take it. Forward!

If you’re in New England and looking to fill out your garden, check out Native Plant Trust. We got a lovely serviceberry tree and some moss phlox (not native to NE, but close). They are in great shape and will hopefully help out local pollinators and insects. www.nativeplanttrust.org
