to be fair, a lot of us did vote and try really hard and care. sadly it wasn’t enough of us. We don’t need to blame ourselves for others not voting. the gen pop as whole is not known for being smart and this is sadly the state of affairs in our country. most people already knew where they stood.

it’s wild to think back to when twitter and youtube started and we were like “omg it’s so funny that ____ celebrity, company, politician” is on here when that was really the beginning of them using it to advertise and propagandize

they always say “if you don’t like it leave” as a xenophobic, “you shouldn’t have come from where you came from” quip as if we didn’t all immigrate here. only about 10-20% of us even come from the colonies. guess what i do & i hate what’s happening. none of us should be driven away from our country

what’s discouraging is that A) this is my country too, i shouldn’t have to leave?!?? and B) it happens to be one of the most powerful countries in the world and will absolutely take everyone else down with it

i lived on one of the sidestreets of hollywood blvd for 5 yrs and while he was president it got destroyed like every week. at one point they just put a wood panel over it with barrier gates around it

yeah, I think I felt the heaviness of it all back then but it’s interesting how my understanding of what was going on has evolved as I’ve gotten older.

I unwillingly heard part of his speech this morning, and it filled me with dread all day while I was at work, not using my phone. I needed to come home and read what people were saying online to feel better and less alone.

I was a propagandized small child during bush so I didn’t know the gravity of that situation until I got older. then I was in middle school when Obama got elected and I loved him so needless to say Trump was a very rude awakening

that’s OK it absolutely was a long long day. I’m angry at us because we stopped paying attention once we got rid of Trump, didn’t pick a candidate & thought that society had progressed beyond what happened in 2016. i’m also mad that I’m 29 and this shitshow has been going on my entire voting career.
