each new console that pokemon was on got a genmake (gba gen 1, gen 2 on the DS and gen 3 on the 3ds)
So the switch 2 would be getting it, the question is if it's going to be a paste over like gen 4 or something different, I'm also hoping for ORAS, but honestly i'd settle with merging 1 and 2
