i kinda disliked original mode when i played chronicles but after like several replays i've gotten a bit used to the difficulty (dying in four fucking hits to everything) and after a while this and arranged mode took the spot for my favorite classicvania game

i kinda felt the same about CV4 for a while until i replayed it recently, and to an extent i still dont really care much for the "improved" control that it brings to the series
