"Soul Food Sunday". A local family owned restaurant serves Ox Tails over rice with brown gravy. Sides are okra & tomatoes and fresh skillet corn. Lots of leftovers! 😋

Caught a sale on Waygu boneless Beef Shortribs. Braised them with fresh shallots and Belgian beer & made a rich onion gravy. The final plate featured German Spaetzle and fresh Brussels Sprouts.

Tried something different today with my broiled catfish filet. I toasted thick slices of sourdough slathered with garlic butter and placed the catfish on top with a light coating of lemon dill tartar sauce. A side of mango pico de gallo completes the meal. Very tasty!

Our connections with animals and wildlife run deep. At the close of yesterday's service, when the Honor Guard encircled President Carter's casket, I went from teary eyed to fully sobbing. Lady Madonna immediately jumped on the arm of my chair to nuzzle and comfort me. She knew something was wrong.

Sending healing thoughts. Are you taking Gabapentin? An OTC pain reliever I like is Percogesic. It has Benadryl and acetaminophen, so it helps you sleep. Take care.
