(imo most negative criticism of people having relationships with AI - excluding those rightfully related to copyright and climate effects - tends to infantilise the people doing it and also rings with saneism with how often they are called cr*zy or stereotyped)

I am tired, I am hopeful, I am overwhelmed by medical admin and appointments. I am literally studying medicine to try and process that *I was not making a fuss over nothing* but also that I was still valid when I thought I had no illness that could be found in a test.

Upholding the illusion is something that has been practiced repeatedly by all players over the years, while using safety words is something only a few players have ever done. Assuming that saying ”no” is easy in intense situations is stupid...

indeed to stop everything, break the illusion and say ”stop, this is too much for me”. In addition to the peer pressure coming from outside, the player’s own identity as a good player who does not spoil the experience for others can be extremely hard to overcome, even for one’s own safety....

I've used the x-card once when one of my declared lines was accidentally crossed by the GM. it was online, so was a 'click the card and it gets sent' system.

so this is both using an x-card and reminding of a line.
