They would actually be quite safe. Notice the workers? They are actively working around nuclear waste but can easily do it without special protection due to how well the waste is contained.

To be clear he is right that overall google use more power overall but ChatGPT uses more power with each interaction. Basically google use more power then Sri Lanka but ChatGPT about 33k households.

Unfortunately like the article itself states this usually happens with any new tech. I wouldn’t put much stock in this as of yet.

You’re mixing up AI training with the commercial use of its output. The draft says training might be fair use, but competing outputs likely aren’t. It’s unpublished too, so nothing’s final — especially with the director just fired.
