Also made peppermint meltaway cookies and made and froze peppermint patties, which turned out kind of huge.

Spent the day making and freezing X-mas gifts. These are s'mores cookie dough truffles. Messy but delicious.

My stepmom often brings music into family events. After playing my guitar, she was teaching youngest kid some fiddle basics. Then the keyboard came upstairs next. All of this while I finished cooking in relative peace.

I made it. And everything was delicious! I overfilled the pumpkin pie, so it ran over the crust on one side, but it still tasted great. Youngest kid said it was the best they ever had. I am EXHAUSTED.

Also made oreo truffles with white chocolate and peppermint oreo truffles, some w/ white chocolate, some w/ milk chocolate. These are all in the freezer to give as Xmas gifts. Simple recipes but exhausting to execute. I am beat. Tomorrow: chocolate coconut and s'more truffles. Pecan tarts if time.

Made pumpkin truffles to freeze for turkey day and Xmas. Tripled the batch so I can "oops, made too many" and give some to a friend of my kids who's family is food insecure.

Got ingredients for the hundreds of truffles, sea salt caramels, and fudge I'm making as xmas gifts, including several pounds of chocolate.

Soviet soldiers generally didn't mind us taking photos and talking to them. This was the only cop shot I got.

After scanning in my husband's old family photos, I just kept going. Finally scanned in all my old Ukraine and Russia photos from my trip to the Soviet Union when I was 16. Also scanned in my dad and stepmom's wedding photos from 1980. Behold, the pre-Photoshop world.
