The best thing you can do is have your phone ready and call the voter protection hotline in your state the moment issues arise or text VOTE to 70888. It'd be a good thing to keep in handy if misinformation or voter intimidation occurs at your polling place.

Time for people to get their phones out and call the voter protection hotlines that are listed below... we need it in handy the moment voter intimidation occurs at the polling places.

And I'd probably push people to vote by mail and return it in a drop box if your state allows it.

Guess what today is? Today is International Day of Democracy, and with democracy being more fragile this year, it's important to fight to not only ensure that we save democracy, but also ensure that every vote counts and that every voice is heard.

That also means running for office to save it.

And the California State Supreme Court, as expected, rejected the GOP's motion for a writ of mandate and application for stay. That means California Dems can go ahead with the redistricting plan when it comes up for a vote (and will be named Proposition 50). www.democracydocket.com/wp-content/u...

And one of the Texas Dems had this to say, which is not only terrifying, but also more intimidation tactics from the other side that is only escalating even further.

I also got a response from the CRTC (Canada's FCC), and not surprising, they weren't in a position to comment on the rescissions package which is now law. They did tell me to contact either the FCC, or PBS directly, which includes the local station.

But hey, at least they responded to my e-mail.

Hey folks! I got a response from the CRTC earlier this afternoon with regards to the rescissions package (now law) that cuts federal funding for PBS/NPR, and here's the body of the message and what they said below.

It's understandable that they're not in a position to comment on the matter.

And then, there's also the line of succession that we need to deal with. I would say be careful what you wish for because I don't see any decent people here on this list.

Just look at these numbers below...

And to make matters worse, she was one of those 12 lawmakers that promised not to do this by writing a letter to #LA04 Rep. Mike Johnson (R). Turns out she went back on her word...

Unfortunately, this won't do any good right now as we would have JD Vance take over as president, and Mike Johnson or Vance choosing a VP by appointment as VP if Trump were to be impeached/convicted.

And there's also the line of succession... do think any of these people would be better than Trump?

Turnout was 29.2%, so it may have been low, though it was somewhat high for a special election.

And what were these 50 Senate Republicans thinking? If they had just voted no (along with JD Vance who broke the tie), we wouldn't be in this mess right now.

This maybe? Dems could use the National Emergencies Act to terminate an executive order, if that's an option for them.
