Powerful momentum at #MayoSocial. Our ageing population isn’t a problem to fix – it’s a chance to lead with vision. Pleased to feature on RTÉ highlighting the need for smart, sustainable, intergenerational communities with great outcomes for all, old & young.

“I don’t need a ride - I need bullets!”

During a time when courageous leadership is in somewhat short supply President Zelenskyy will probably go down as one of the greatest leaders of this decade.

Social connections are the biggest driver of well-being for older people, yet services often prioritise hospitals over home-based support. Ireland needs a place-based, outcome-focused social care model that unites social patriotism, investment, & innovation.

Irish Government urged to increase funding for elderly and vulnerable. @SageAdvocacy, the National independent advocacy service for older people services requires an additional €5.5m over the next three years. Nothing about you without you.

The national advocacy service for older people expects the demand for its services to more than double over the next three years and wants the next government to support its expansion.

Great piece. The irony is that it will be at all our peril if the next government fails to follow the policies of the @greenparty.ie. “The innovator has for enemies all those who have done well under the old conditions, and lukewarm defenders in those who may do well under the new.” Machiavelli.
