A note from a very exhausted,  very frustrated and utterly disgusted mother. My son has complex medical needs so I am no stranger to the medical debacle we call AMAZING healthcare here in the States.  In fact our local hospital system is #2 in the country.  I snort every time. It took 2 years to get my son's diagnosis because nobody would listen.

I don't even know what day of this med shit show we are on or if it's working or if it's worth it. I know I can only get more than 30 minutes of sleep past 1 am in a locked room.  That my son is the strongest most hyper human I've ever met. And that I'm utterly, completely alone.

It's really true that creators are most creative in the dark phases of life. After having my heart ripped out of my chest, still beating, and handed back to me I went on a journey of healing.  This was one of many heartbreaks, and by far the most painful and altering.  This was 11 years ago. I immersed myself in raw, honest, intense talk therapy and stayed there weekly until I no longer qualified for a major diagnosis.
