Homebound was tremendously good — available now on Netflix and absolutely worth your time. The entire cast (even Janhvi) impressed me to no end. Ishaan is such a presence.

Ended the day watching a lone man row across the absolutely silent lake. What a beautiful day to be alive in the world.

Karlstein or a little German hobbit village?

Either way it's an incredibly charming little place :)

Thumsee was showing off for us last weekend — I'm so grateful to have this beautiful lake in my backyard

We also saw this lovely couple celebrating their wedding. What a gorgeous spot for a photo!

We've lived in Berchtesgaden Land for over five years and somehow only made it to Ramsau last weekend. Churches and hiking and more churches.

Saw "The Critic" at our cute little theater yesterday — I don't think the trailers adequately prepared us for this movie. Ian McKellen was absolutely mad, in all the best possible ways.

Beautiful day — had a little walk, got some snackies, and Brett bought me TWO books ❤️ Just in time for a week of rain

Enjoyed a gloriously beautiful weekend in Berchtesgadener Land — we've been here five years and I still can't believe all this is just outside our door

My husband and I are slowly putting together the LEGO Medieval Blacksmith set and friends, I *finally* appear to have my very own scriptorium. All my manuscript dreams are coming true.

This is the most delightful weekend project ❤️

It would be really nice if we had a way to save posts here without leaving emoji comments, because seeing hundreds of replies to threads that look like this is getting a bit annoying

Weird bursts of energy (and discovering a non-stop bus route into the Altstadt from Reichenhall) means we've been wandering into Salzburg much more frequently this fall. (It's only a few miles away but public transport options turn it into an annoying hour-long trip.) It's such a lovely city!

Forgot I had this account - hello! Since we're all reintroducing ourselves: I'm a Vermonter in Germany (rural Bavaria/Alps - so many pretty lakes!) interested in medieval and early modern history, book history, Old English, and all things Bollywood. I love to make new friends so feel free to say hi!

Lazy stroll around Bad Reichenhall this afternoon. Still waiting for the leaves to start turning — this time last year it was proper autumn and the year before there was snow on the mountains. Today it was 22° and I was tempted to jump in the river!
