Trump will federalize D.C. police, deploy the National Guard, & send the FBI after homeless people to combat a made-up crisis in D.C.

But on Jan. 6th when violent insurrectionists stormed the Capitol he couldn't be bothered to call the National Guard.

Make it make sense.

Remember when a judge tried to overturn 65,000 votes — and a fellow judge secretly gave him $5,000? ⚖️
That was only exposed because of disclosure laws.
SB 416 would hide that kind of corruption.

North Carolina voters deserve more transparency — not less.
SB 416 would make it easier for political insiders to hide who’s funding their campaigns & court cases.

Big Money wants to buy influence in NC — and hide it.
SB 416 would let wealthy donors spend in secret while the public is left in the dark.

BREAKING: North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein vetoes an egregious bill that would have kept voters in the dark about political spending — shortly after CLC sent a letter urging him to reject the proposal.

This is a victory for transparency and government accountability.

The Griffin Vote Heist is a test case. This has implications far beyond NC. If Griffin’s effort succeeds it will embolden future election deniers, institutionalizing a process where elections are constantly contested, delaying certification, & undermining the will of the people. #ncpol

The Griffin Vote Heist is a nonviolent version of January 6th. It is an attack on our democracy and on the fundamental right of voters to choose their leaders. #ncpol
