LASD posted its 18th in-custody death of the year this morning. That's an average of one death per week in 2025. He died in Men's Central Jail.

The fire is within a 1/2 mile
Watch app screenshot. Under updates, Cole Euken, Staff Reporter. Jan 22 at 8:20 pm. Radio traffic indicates there is a slow moving 20 acre spot fire across Tapia Canyon Rd which is approx a 1/2 mile North of the Detention Center. Multiple night copters continue to work that area of the fire.
