Thankful for the wise advice of @nijaykgupta.bsky.social & @esaumccaulley.bsky.social at IBR Ethnic Minority Scholars' Breakfast this morning. They and many before them have worked to make a space for Ethnic minorities in a place like #sblaar24 for the next generation of young minority scholars

Giving this paper—a critique of one of the pioneers of social scientific approaches in NT studies—in the current SBL social scientific approaches session must be a highlight of my career to this point! They’re also a lovely group of people. 😀
