Americans cannot trust that these independent agencies are acting free from political influence when the Trump administration continues to intervene.

This political moment calls for leaders with the courage to take on big challenges and the experience to deliver real results. I'm ready to be that leader for Illinois' 8th district.

Having an independent regulator is critical to protect consumers and level the playing field for the many financial institutions who play by the rules. I applaud House and Senate Democrats challenging the administration's efforts to defund and dismantle this essential agency.
