Well, it worked, no surprise there. Thanks for the insight. I would have never even thought to try that on my own. Now only c supported that. It would make writing my python auto coders so much easier.

All in all, I have been less than impressed and scared some of my coworkers rely on it so much. I spend more time verifying it did the right thing than if I had simply done it myself to begin with.

I did get to right me a syntax validation script to validate the format of data in a file but I found the resulting code very brute force and unmaintainable. Also I couldn't figure out how to spec to it a couple of edge cases so I had to add those in afterwards.

I have tried using it as my coding buddy/rubber ducky and it can only find the problem in a small code snippet about 50% of the time. I had a bash script once, I knew the issue was on line 31. It agreed with me but would then just make nonsense recommendations to other parts of the script

I have found very little use for AI so far. It simply isn't capable of solving the problems I need solved. There are cases where it takes a week to complete a code trace to find a bug. I thought surely AI can do this faster. It doesn't even know where to begin.

Though I was going to ask this morning if anyone is planning on doing the Advent of Code challenge this year .

Not coding literally. Characters that exhibit traits of the named person.

Sorry, Two more characters

That is a really sad spread and I am not talking about quantity or variety.

You look beautiful.

I have never even thought to leave a trailing coma in python, to many years and other languages where you couldn't. Now you are going to make me fire up an interpreter in the morning and find out what happens. 🤪

You are!
November 17, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Sorry 😔

Well, there it is, it explains everything. I ate those as a kid. They passed it off as candy. Really it was a by an experiment by a secret cabal of government agencies to see if they could make boys want to be girls!

Guess it worked. Correlation equals causation, right?

🤣🤣🤣

We had a few come through our line to be sure, but they were a very small minority of people. Most of our clients were just trying to feed their families and I can't recall the number I had to talk to to help them overcome the shame they felt for having to ask for help.

I used to run a food bank. Once a year we had to go for training. I was always amazed and disgusted by the number of church representatives at those meetings who were obsessed with trying to figure out ways to track down and disqualify those they deemed abusers of the system.

It was text messages over the company chat tool. Facts didn't seem to bother him and I always try to keep such conversations civil since the digital overlords retain copies of everything. I know more than one person who was fired because of there chat history.

Playing with hair color would certainly be an interesting experiment. Maybe someday. I have been considering grey actually. Wonder what effect that would have on interaction.

So we use hot diced hatch green chilies. There is enough cream that it doesn't come out hot. And I use fresh caramelized onions instead of store bought fried ones. It takes an extra 20 min. but I think it is worth it
