After moving twice in my adult life, I've learned:
1. I'm really good at tucking things into every available space
2. I have way more stuff than I ever imagined
and
3. I may be a hoarder

This has always bothered me. The constant flip-flopping of what's acceptable in fictional media from one end to the other. But why can't we have both ends, and everything in between? Variety is the spice of... fiction.

My feelings exactly. Not a fan of the advice to never use a thesaurus. Use it, but use it wisely!
It's also useful for digging out those words you definitely have stored away already but your brain for some reason decided to lock up.
