Of course I have to keep the routine! I plan to leave Mishita alone in her own space during the night, since she isn't leaving the room on her own yet.

It will take a while to go back to normal, and we might run into seatbacks I'm sure- but I'm glad I figured a system and to see it work!

And today I walked into the most fighty cat, Morticia, sleeping on Mishita's couch. Mishita was in another blanket, got into the couch when I came. Looked at Morticia AND DIDN'T EVEN HISS!!!
She just asked for pets, went to eat a bit and returned to her own blanket.

I can't explain the relief 😭❤️

-Started to leave the door open during feeding. Then a little longer while I supervised. Then while I was drawing (door is in front of me)

-I kept doing play sessions with me in the middle so everyone was near each other, but focused on me and the toys.

-Started to leave the separating door ajar so they sometimes looked at eachother without reaching.

-Spend at least 30min playing with the younger cats so they had less nervous energy, then started to make them play in the old lady's field of vision but distant. Kept their attention on me.

-Made sure everyone had their space, beds, litter, etc.

-Separated the most upset cat (Mishita) into another room with her own stuff, and a cat pheromone diffuser to help her relax.

-After a couple of days, started to exchange their beds and blankets so they get used to their scents again.

There was a fight one day I was out and the old lady lost all trust in the rest, turned *very* aggressive and territorial, which in turn upset the younger cats and turned *them* territorial.
I tried so much shit I was terrifited I couldn't fix this, all of them were so upset...
