We’re camping again this weekend, but in Somerset rather than Dorset. Btw we came last in the round the island race last weekend! But we won the trophy for ‘tenacity’ because, unlike over 300 other boats, we didn’t give up!

We’re in Bavaria, hiking. Yesterday, we finally knocked off the relentless 6,000ft climb of the Watzmann, hard work but well worth it! Today we’re taking a rest by swimming in the Hintersee lake. Very refreshing, and we weren’t the only naturists!

Walking in Bavaria this morning amongst the forests and the wild flowers. It’s beautiful here with very well marked and maintained paths and plenty of mountain farms supplying milk and beer. Also naturist friendly, though I’m not sure I should have been picking the flowers!

We hiked up to Weitschartenkopf today where - somewhere near the top- Nick clearly had a brainwave! What can he have been thinking about??

With storms rolling into Bavaria we’ve moved south of the alps to Udine in Italy. We’ll spend a night here and then cross Slovenia into Croatia and head for Valalta naturist resort which we’ve not visited before. Anyone know it?

We’ve been planning our summer trip to the Alps - and it’s looking like Bavaria or the Tyrol with an exit to northern Croatia if the weather turns against us. Any naturist camping recommendations in those areas?

The wild water’s beginning to warm up in the uk, but is still a long way from being pleasant! Still, a skinny dip at any time of year is a tonic for the soul!

Well…. we don’t get many evenings like this in the UK - especially in April! So, after work, we trotted down to the Thames for a delicious dip. Absolutely beautiful!

We have a cabinet at home for all the shells and fossils we’ve found on our travels (the only rule is that they have to be found by us and shells have to have no inhabitants). Here’s Nick sporting a small Queen Conch he’d just found on a remote beach in the Caribbean. Look at that smile!

Just set up our tent at Studland Summer Camp and will be here for the weekend. Who else is coming down?

Where else can you camp naturist with a view like that! Aren’t we naturists lucky…?

We were at Studland on Sunday when a scout troop with scoutmasters came along. They veered off the empty shoreline and plonked themselves down not 10 metres from us, the only people (and naked) on the vast beach. We thought they were going for their skinny dipping badge…but it was just lunch!

@oxfordcitycouncil.bsky.social have put in a swim ladder at Longbridges! That’s fantastic, thank you ❤️. Definitely a vote winner with us!

We’re sailing around the Isle of Wight tomorrow in the Round the Island Race. 850 boats….and a forecast of heavy rain and strong winds. Views like this are…unlikely, though a probability of zero is not, of course, scientifically permissible 😉

We ran from home to Oxnat - the Oxford naturist club, peacefully located in the woods just outside the city - this morning in just 50 mins. Happy with that, and deserved the cup of tea before the run home!

We swam at Longbridges this morning and had a long chat to two other ladies swimming. That we happened to be naked wasn’t mentioned, and this is just as naturism should be - unremarkable!

We’ve seen a few strange sights on naturist beaches over the years, but this one, from a couple of weeks back in the Canaries, ranks as one of the strangest!

There are few better feelings than wandering naked across a beach down to the water to swim. Such a simple way to bring a wave of happiness to one’s life.

We throw out posts like we throw pebbles into the sea, with no idea how they’ll land or what effect, if any, they might have. But we enjoy the process, and hope to spread the positive message of naturism as we do so.

Wishing everyone an exciting 2025.

Swimming this morning at Longbridges. Air temp was -3°c with a crisp frost underfoot. Very bracing! We just had a sauna to compensate.

No other naturists on Studland beach this morning, but our swim did get a round of applause from the passing dog walkers (and some cheering!).

If you’ve not experienced the liberation and joy of walking naked on the beach and then into the sea to swim then you are seriously missing out. Make 2025 your year to correct that!

We’ve been turning our minds to New Year’s resolutions, and all we can think of is ‘more naturism’. Is that bad??
