Embrace the cat lady identity! In embracing being one myself, I just got kitchen curtains embroidered with cats and a paw print trim. Makes me smile every time I go into the kitchen.

Oh god this brings back memories of taking my younger brother to practices before he could drive. The hockey bag smelled so bad that I'd have to drive with all the windows down no matter the weather.

Definitely check out Newegg. They sell everything you need and they have a PC builder tool thing that has a checklist that let's you pick each part you'll need. They also have how to guides and such on there.

Same. Plus I only have a Kindle fire so I'd have needed to do a weird workaround by downloading an old version of Kindle for PC so I just moved on.

Nora was also my intro to romance books. When I was 10, my mom had just gotten engaged to my stepdad and his mom knew I liked to read so she gave me a bag of books which included Nora's Gallaghers of Ardmore series. I was hooked after that and 25 years later it's still my most read/favorite genre.

Not my most recent 5 star but the one I keep thinking about that I read in 2024, The Countess by Lynsay Sands. She's married to a terrible guy who dies so she sticks him on ice to not ruin her sisters' debuts only for his twin brother to show up. Feels like a bonkers soap opera plot in the best way.

Not sure exactly what counts as a big name but some of my favorites from the last couple years are Erica Ridley, Darcy Burke, Kate Bateman, Vivienne Lorret, Anna Bennett, & Charis Michaels.

No blankets for me on the couch because it's now a bed for one of my floofs.

I really enjoyed Yule Be My Duke by Darcy Burke (novella released in Oct. 2023).

I organize them alphabetically by author last name then by order of release. My books are split where one side of my office is all of my romance books and then all other genres are mixed together on the other side.

Yes please! Categories are so wild and it would be fun to follow along (and get recs).

Shorter for me. I feel like I get through the book faster with shorter chapters. Plus the shorter chapters keep my attention better.

The store is Kiss & Tale in Collingswood, NJ. Highly recommend it if you're in the southern New Jersey/Philadelphia area.

There's something about Christmas romances that just immediately puts me in a great mood.
