A sombre #FluorescenceFriday this week. This (developing quail) heart goes out to my fellow scientists & their students in the US. Science can be a brutal career at the best of times but watching from afar as your system struggles, I can only imagine how you feel. Dark times. We see you. Hold on. 🧪

I’m delighted & grateful to be awarded an ARC Discovery Project Grant to use live imaging to study epithelial fusion in our #devbio transgenic quail model. But I’m acutely aware of all the outstanding work that didn’t get funded due to too little investment in Australian science. 🥹 #bittersweet 🧪👩🔬
