I achieved a small accomplishment. I have successfully breed my scuds in captivity (it’s the little white dot).
I don’t know how hard this is supposed to be, but given that it took a year this is very rewarding. I am excited to see the next generation (will there be more blue guys??)

Sometimes I have no idea what these snails are up to. At first I thought it had fallen off a leaf or something, but then it just shot up like is was actually eating something in the water???

Caught a scud (gammarus fasciatus) in what I believe to be a molting process, as it was really pale and upside down. I need to find more lava rocks like the one it’s beside since they seem to like curling up in the pits, which is why you can spot so many here.
