I remember a similar bug where our game was crashing for people in specific regions but it wasn't due to system language, but due to their region. So stuff like time/date formatting etc is different based on their selected region even if their system language was English.

Man I love the Steam Controller despite how cheap it feels, but it's tough to complain when I got it for $5 during that very last sale :D

I'm pretty sure it's used for the ping system, since you can ping everything at every location, and also for quests (stuff that you hear when you enter a run and once of the NPCs comes on the radio)

A while back my friend had some bizarre performance issues with his PC. He eventually found out that Razer software was causing it. An app for a fucking mouse slowing down or even crashing your computer...imagine that.
