Fuel reserve done. All that's left is the cockpit, which will be pretty easy to gather the materials for.

Found an alternate entrance to the lava caves where the sea dragon roams around. Managed to sneak my cyclops through to the deepest level.

Got a base established in the drop-off point. Unfortunately this isn't deep enough for the scanner to reach the stuff I really want, but any deeper and I'll be dodging sea dragon fireballs while building.
I'm surrounded by mind flayer fish and leviathans above and below.

Got the thermal reactor module for my cyclops now, so I can leave it parked next to lava vents and treat it as a semi-permanent lost river base. But I'm working on something more ambitious: a powered base down in the lava caves.
