Ex publisher here. Most of us want to publish the books we love and authors we like working with, but the business no longer allows us to. I ran a press trying to do that. I published authors who were good but not savvy on social, and I lost my shirt. So now I publish zero authors.

Canadian here: it's all a little too terrifying to laugh. Many of your neighbours to the North are watching in frustration, wondering when you are going to hit the tipping point down there and do something to end this disturbing chapter.

Thanks for honoring him. John Prine was in the soundtrack of my childhood, and knowledge of his music has always been a way to identify kindred spirits. Losing him in 2020 was awful.

Here on the West Coast there is little overlap between the convoy crowd & elbows up folk. Convoy crowd seems to welcome a Trump takeover. So the comparison doesn't work.

I do have one more library I can try. I'm in Canada - we have the same thing. I just haven't set up mu secondary library.
