I try to look up professional creative jobs sometimes, because I'm a professional-- or I'm supposed to be. Since the pandemic took my opportunities away, it's been hard to find anything to apply to that I'm eligible for. SO many creative opportunities are for artists who've just recently graduated

anyway this is partly why I'm stepping away from tumblr. I also don't like it there right now and most social media is a depressing sinkhole, which is not helping anyone. Anyway I hope youse are having a nice enough day

idk if anyone else here uses tumblr much but as an asrtist, is anyone else feeling like there's a growing trend of people not only crowing about using genAI to 'make their own art' but also people claiming online artists (or artists in general) are 'petit burgeois' and 'deserve' being undercut...

just a small ramble here but it's incredibly funny how online, as an artist, you're not supposed to want likes/responses openly because if you do you're 'annoying' and 'clout-chasing' (even if you're asking for simple feedback lmao), but it's fine to get that attention organically...

no context but I'm sick of people reacting to simple mental illness stuff with indignation and self interest
(i.e a request to avoid a simple trigger that wouldn't be too big an ask eventually becomes resentment about how you're asking too much and are demanding or outright a bad person)

funniest thing about reading up on other Scottish accents is seeing Glaswegians absolutely baffled that anyone else in Scotland would call their accents 'strange'. Guess they're no used tae bein seen as weird. Lol. Lmao even >:D
