I don't like Ninja Gaiden Black at all.
I don't like the more washed / gray out color palette of the game, the clunkier movement, no ability to quick heal with the D-pad, the input reading, the god awful camera, and no putting to instantly return to the title screen.

I'm playing through Ninja Gaiden II vanilla after the dog shit that was Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. I gotta be real, people dismissing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 as this irredeemable version of the game is low-key mad stupid. I see it more as a different flavor, not a replacement, of course.
