Fellow artists - do you need to be in a certain mood to create art, or does creating art get you in the right mood?

I’ve had a really rough week, but I have a deadline and need to draw.. I’m just struggling to do so, I keep getting distracted by my own thoughts.

I might not be posting as much, but at least aim to post everything art related 💜

I’m considering posting all my existing BTS works (maybe one each day) to start with, would that be a nice start?

I stopped posting on TikTok because every time I do, I actually lose followers. It’s not a good feeling, but there’s no use in the account just being dormant either..

So I’ve started posting again. If I lose everyone there, so be it. Here’s my latest:

I finally figured out why I’ve been listless. As much as I love how cozy my home looks with the Christmas tree up, it does take away so much of my art studio space.. I’ve taken down the tree & put my easel back where it belongs - instant relief. My favourite drawing spot is back 🥺

It’s only January 2nd and I’ve already had four BTS art print orders this year (one not pictured, already shipped!). I don’t know how to express my thanks for the continued support everyone has given me 🥹💜

I don’t really have any resolutions for this year, besides to keep moving forwards. I want to keep growing, as a person & as an artist. Let’s see how it all goes ❤️
