A wander round the West Cork coast today and a nice Ring Billed Gull at Ring funnily enough.

IWeBS count today. Some interesting birds - a big count of 105 Snipe at Croagh Lake, also a Siberian Chiff Chaff there as well, being the highlights. Altogether 24 IWeBS species plus Single Otters at Toormore and Crookhaven. 2 Black Throated Divers at Crookhaven.

1W Bonaparte's Gull very briefly at Myross, 2 Cattle Egrets, Fem Lesser Scaup and a couple of Chiff Chaffs at Lough Cluhir this afternoon and a Siberian Chiff Chaff right outside the kitchen window this morning. Not bad.

Cairn circle at the Southern end of the Upper Erme Stone Row on Dartmoor, which is the longest stone row in the world. It measures 3386 metres, starting at a small cairn on Green Hill, crossing the River Erme and finishing on Stall Moor. #TombTuesday taken in March 2004.

Keilnascarta standing stones, West Cork. A Three stone row and two stone pairs, in adjacent fields c 150 apart in a NNW/SSE line. The rows are aligned roughly NE/SW. The most SE pair have been incorporated into a modern field boundary . Taken in March 2012 #StandingStoneSunday 2

Lovely chilly,sunny day out and about.At least 8 Gt Northern Divers off the quay at Rosscarbery, with a further 2/3 out to sea.Red Throated Diver,a single Brent Goose and a Gt Crested Grebe on the sea off the quay. Shovellers at Castle Freke and White's Marsh and a male Gadwall at Castle Freke pool.
