At the Science Museum this evening for the CaSE (Campaign for Science and Engineering) annual lecture. Dame Angela McLean (UK Government Chief Scientific Adviser) mentions the need for continuity. “We need a lot less strategy making and a lot more delivery.”

The fast and comfortable Afrosiyob train brought us from Bukhara to Samarkand this afternoon. Cheaper, cleaner and a lot more efficient than any intercity service back in the UK.
