Morning! Just thought I'd write something on why I no longer include photo locations in my posts. I think many of us have seen the damage to locations when they become the next big Facebook / Insta / TikTok thing, and that is not something I want to be the cause of.

The most insane sunrise I've experienced for quite a while. Amazing to watch, difficult to process the photos to match reality! I actually preferred the versions once the sun had risen, and the vivid colours subsided.

After having a run of not so inspiring conditions, this weekend has been pretty fantastic! Initially a little glum with my plans curtailed (knee is now hip pain 😬), colourful skies and epic light cheered me right up 😊

I always regret taking and posting photos on the same day, but sometimes you've just got to live a little bit dangerously 😆

The forecast was totally off and we waited for a few hours for any signs that the blanket of cloud may relent. Nope, pack up and head back up the fell... Only to turn tail 15 minutes later when the odd hint of light started to break through. Back to the original spot and light appeared, but in the end I preferred this earlier version as a shower swept through the valley. A wall winds its way down a heather-clad hillside, whilst rain approaches in the distance. Lumpy mountains are seen in the distance.

A tactical early start yesterday to try and avoid the worst of the heat. Mostly worked but then a very hot and sticky descent back to a mint Magnum, fizzy elderflower and a coke!

After a day of peeing down rain, hill fog and splashes of sunshine, the weather finally settled and the cloud departed. A wander uphill on complaining legs, I came across this little scene. A lovely end to the day, followed by a deep sleep in the Emmobile 😁
