If EVERYTHING Trump is doing is “to curb Fentanyl overdoses”, it bears saying these deaths aren’t like mass shootings. People aren’t randomly being killed, they’re taking drugs. Like Mexico’s president said, maybe the US should deal with its drug USE issue.

According to many conservatives, black men who don’t follow police orders and are shot as a result, got what they deserved. But white men who don’t follow police orders (and even exercise violence against them) and afterwards receive a full pardon, also got what they deserved.

Trump threatening to withhold disaster relief funds to California unless they use voter ids for their elections feels a lot like the time that he threatened to withhold congressionally approved funds to Ukraine unless Zelensky helped him dig up dirt on the Biden’s.
