It's been awhile, but I've been preparing for @awesomecon.bsky.social 's Cosplay Competition. Lots of updates to Meg and her WIG was at the literal helm. I'm so freaking proud about her new iteration!

Adding steel boning to my corset was a game changer for Meg! She was radiant at Dragon Con, and she was glamorous at the Katsucon Met Gala!

3M Industrial Velcro is literally worth every damn penny. The whole goal of Meg the Poe's torches was that if I had to travel far, I could break down this prop and then reinstall with sturdy secures. In this iteration, I mapped out the best alignment then glued the Velcro!

There's something about redoing your comfort cosplay from 7 years ago and how much you learned and are comfortable doing.

I never made a shirt before when I started cosplaying. Now I do gowns, pants, corsets, and shirts.

Can't wait for Katsucon to rock Malon again!

Unfortunately the pinkish/purple fabric I loved from her original Malon is non existent. So she improvised using JoAnn's lavender one seam smock dress to make the skirt! Love this refresh!

Con season is approaching fast! Time to start getting BADGE RIBBONS! These will be what I hand out at Katsucon!

Great hack for budget friendly people who want to join in - make the PNG half the size on the ribbon then cut it in half! Double the ribbons and can fit on the sides of the badge!

Thank the cosplay gods I still had her old stencils from my first Malon to use for the refresh cosplay!

Freezer paper the BEST idea for these types of stencils because it really stopped all bleeding of the fabric and such clean lines!
