I just finally got around to this in my inbox (mom of 2 young kids, you understand!), and while I appreciate the analysis, I really have to thank you for the Sesame Street video. I probably haven’t seen that in over 30 years, at it brought me immense joy. Can’t wait to share it with my kids!

As opposed to what they’re doing now, arbitrarily deciding which ones to close without congressional authorization? Do your job. Make Article 1 mean something!

Reports from people speaking with Dem staffers in person today is a lot of squishy talk about amendments and being uncommitted. That doesn’t sound like a firm “No” on cloture at all
