Especially heartbreaking in what is now Desiree Scott's last professional soccer game. The Destroyer played her part, but missed out on extra time and PKs after being subbed off in regular time. Can't imagine how hard it is to have to watch things play out from the sidelines.

PK shootouts are always heartbreaking, as it was today for Ottawa Rapid FC. After starting strong in their first 4 shots and seeing Vancouver Rise miss one, Ottawa has their fifth shot stopped. From there, Vancouver made the rest of their kicks while golden-glove McAslan made one more crucial save.

What an athlete 👏
