SSC is about enforcing safety within the Splatoon community by doing investigative work and providing banlists.

It is not about making people FEEL safe, it is about making the community safe.

Your feelings are your own and not a single person can control or dictate them. Your sense of safety is constructed through your own experiences.

The only thing SSC can really do is prevent problematic individual from participating in events.

We must try as a community to make sure people can feel safe.

But the task can never be on any single person or org.

While criticism is fair, I believe accusations made against Splat Safety under the premise that they make members of community feel unsafe are dangerous. 🧵 4/5

And of course, a safety council is not a tool of vengeance. It is not about taking care of your own personal vendetta.
