Zoe's enthusiasm for this is making me kinda sad lowkey. Like the innocent joy and determination on her face is just :( cuz I'm sure she won't be able to bring him back. But her and Eliza are so focused on bringing back their husbands, it feels so naive 😭 like it's never that simple

This doesn't really make sense to me cuz according to her story in the beginning, she was in that village for like 3 months. That's hardly "sudden" to me. And it seems like the biggest reason (besides loving her) for him proposing was so she wouldn't have to leave. Clive wanted her to stay forever

The change each of them kinda focused on was different but still like a big part of being a person. Well, Shio didn't really have to deal with anything major. But her aside, I liked seeing other adult women be like "damn who am I?" Growing up and having to examine yourself is difficult

This vol especially cuz it talks a lot about change. Each of them had to confront the changes (or lack of) within themselves. I really liked the nostalgia chapter cuz like even throughout all the changes, they are still the same people at the end of the day. They're the same little girls

I feel like I would cut this guy more slack if this hadn't been 2 years. And throughout those 2 years they're very much being domestic partners; staying together, cooking and eating together. Just very intertwined beyond something casual. A 2 year situationship sounds like hell fr 💀
