Twitch has now removed this limitation from its documentation.
A screenshot showing the changelog on a page. Text removed features a strikethrough, which formerly said "You may have monetization features enabled on a maximum of 5 accounts . If you exceed this limit, monetization features will be removed from your accounts with the least activity."
