Our local discount grocery had their hand slapped when they offered relief and so they put up a sign for donations. I donated when I went through the line yesterday. This admin has no decency but we already knew that…

Please! We have lots of hardworking people and great crops along the West Coast! Vegetables, pears, hazelnuts and apples.

Absolutely disgusting.

An octopus book! Oh yes!

Good grief! That’ll leave a mark!

Nice! I remember my Freshman seminar class. The same class was taught by professors in different departments so it was interesting to talk to friends and see what they were learning-sometimes it was the same and sometimes not. Sorry it’s hot in Texas, still sweater weather here! Brr!

Carroty Mac and Cheese! Serious Eats has a fabulous recipe online.

Yep, it’s like it never happened. Except for having an ongoing cold-counting the days till summer break and clear breathing! What do you teach?

Carvedilol is for high blood pressure. Also called Coreg I think. I didn’t have that before but I do now. They said it is one of the side effects.

I was hopeful there would be continuing studies for long term use of some of these meds but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen any time soon.

We’ve known many dogs named Scout! Finch is cute! A few weeks? That’s incredible! I take Tacro 3mg/2xday and 1000mg/2xday of Mycophenolate. When I was on 6/2 of Tacro my hands were so shaky I could barely write or type and my skin shed like a snowstorm!

What a gift! 70%?! How long did that take to grow back? Our daughter’s name is Scout. We were both rereading To Kill a Mockingbird when we met!

How long did it take your daughter to recover? Then she played soccer the next season-that’s very cool! So, both livers grow back to normal size? And then you had a kidney soon after? Wow! So are your immunos more because you have two organs? Not sure how that works. Hope you have the day off!

It has helped. That letter took me about a month to write and send. I got a response about 3 months later. I really mourned my donor family days leading up to my surgery. I only had days left so I was exhausted and grateful.

Oh wow! I didn’t have a living donor option. I am in contact with my donor family. She was a young woman living north of Seattle and her mom lives in Georgia. My family lives in McMinnville. Congrats on the grad! Our son went to USC and daughter to Cal Poly SLO and both wanted out of California ASAP

I don’t have any liver issues now but all these immunosuppressants make staying healthy while working in an elementary school difficult. I mask around kinders because they are walking Petri dishes! I had no issues prior and no family history so 🤷‍♀️

They have no idea. I was at OHSU, a teaching hospital for the last 3 weeks; students would come by and peer into my room while madly scribbling notes from my chart. I didn’t feel well 2 weeks prior to the ER and it was a 1st grader who pointed out my eyes looked weird. A CAT scan and then admitted.

Liver here! February 2023. Completely out of the blue and still unexplainable. MELD 36 at time of transplant, 30 days after arriving in the ER.
