How long to you let a browser tab, like for Gmail or Outlook, bully you into keeping it open with its "all changes may not be saved" message?

And I've just completed my first, half-hour long distraction from working of the year!

Culprit! My own Gmail because I can't wait 60 seconds for my photo editor to load.

Led to news, shopping, changing Teams emoji, inbox cleanup, and a fresh cup of coffee.

Time wasted? 35 minutes! 🥳

Detroit and the Detroit area is this place that can cause you so much pain you feel like you need to run from it. But it absolutely builds you into who you are and makes you carry it with you wherever you go. A badge on over your heart that pierces you and defends you at the same time.

Microsoft Edge has this habit of introducing a feature, then burying it in sub menus once I get in a habit of using it. I'm sorry jerks like me are the only one's using your shit. I don't know why others don't. Stop moving this shit around on me though.

I follow a number of talented writers, journalists and tv makers, that I’m certain know how to use punctuation, and yet their posts are all lowercase and sentences don’t have periods.

It’s Gen Z pandering from Gen Xers and it’s a suspicious abdication of their responsibilities as learn-ed people.

I love living in Pacific Standard Time. If you’re just a bit particular with what you watch you can be done with sports for the day by early afternoon.

And then move on to important things. Like gaming and scripted television.

I’ve been opening Facebook once daily in the hopes of seeing the ignorant crackers from my hometown say something, ANYTHING, resembling remorse about their votes in 2024.

Nothing. Either Meta doesn’t show me their comments or the platform is so dead, even the oldest ones have given up on it.

Doing web design means lots of things, but it especially means explaining browser caching and hard refreshes to non-designers twice a fucking week.

This is wrong and there should an inquiry. Someone should go to jail, but this is also a great opportunity.
Let's make some budget room to fix this. It's not like SSNs were secure before DOGE.
The report “cites numerous disclosures from whistleblowers, including one who said a worst-case scenario could involve having to re-issue SSNs to everyone in the country.”
DOGE might be storing every American’s SSN on an insecure cloud server
DOGE can “directly manipulate” this information.

Many people are talking about how out-of-touch DJT is for going to the US Open instead of good ‘ol’ God-fearing American football.

Many people. Lots.

“Well I didn’t want to worry you!”

Who taught these Boomers that the best way to not worry us was by not telling us when bad things were happening?

Instead of learning how to care for themselves they just lie.

Is there anyone out there who, like me, found that "secret episode" of this season of Gamechanger nearly unwatchable?

I laughed in places sure -- but it was too long, crazy cringy, and felt like it should have been an episode just for the Dropout people. Not for the public.

I feel alone in this.

Eliminate "Happy [DAY OF WEEK]" from your office vocabulary.

"Happy [HOLIDAY]" is good. Encouraged.
"Happy [OBSERVANCE]" such as "National Donut Hole Day"? Also good.

But this "Happy Monday", "Happy Friday" shit has got to go.
